Leading Nollywood actors, Nkem Owoh and Kanayo O Kanayo started the New Year on sad notes respectively, by loosing their dear mothers to the cold and wicked hands of death. We exclusively gathered that hilarious Owoh, from Enugu State who recently breezed in from a very successful tour of Malaysia, painfully lost his mum on January 7, after a brief illness.
While Kanayo’s mum demise was communicated to us by the bereaved entertainer via sms this Wednesday morning. According to Kanayo,“ this is to notify you of the passing on to glory of my dear mother, Ezinne Isabella Onyekwere. Burial arrangements will be communicated soon.”
Confirming the demise of his own mother, bereaved Owoh, who’s still holed up in his Udi country home said his late mother was over 80 and would be buried as soon as the entire family concludes the burial arrangements. “Yes, I lost my mother on January 7, which was very painful. We are yet to fix a date for her burial because the family is still meeting and consulting. Once that is sorted out, we will announce the burial plan officially. No doubt, she would be greatly missed by all of us…”
With the recent deaths, the star of Osuofia In London, the monster hit movie from the stable of Kingsley Ogoro Productions and Kanayo, had joined the league of Nollywood stars without mothers. The famous duo of Zack Orji and Victor Osuagwu lost their mums last year, respectively. Several of their colleagues in Nollywood have promised to assist them give their deceased mums befitting burials at the appropriate dates.
